Hoodoo is a blend of magickal traditions combining African practices, Native American medicine, Juedo-Christian Ritual, European folk magick.

The primary focus of hoodoo is to heal, using herbs, plants, trees, roots, animals and charged waters. It is a completely earthen practice and combines these natural ingredients in amulets, rinses, chants and power objects.

The magick of hoodoo can be compared to gypsy magick or ancient traditional workings of folk magick. The most common item used is a small pouch filled with herbs, crystals and magickal items. This is known as a mojo bag.
